Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Soldering Technician with experience in soldering Surface-Mount Device (SMD) components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision soldering, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform precision soldering of SMD components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) according to engineering specifications and industry standards.
  • Inspect and test soldered joints to ensure proper alignment, functionality, and durability.
  • Use a variety of soldering tools, including reflow ovens, soldering irons, and hot air stations.
  • Identify and repair defects in soldered assemblies, including solder bridges, cold joints, or misaligned components.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues with circuit boards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and follow safety guidelines for handling electronic components.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions accurately.
  • Participate in quality assurance processes, ensuring all soldered assemblies meet specified standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in soldering SMD components (minimum 1 year preferred).
  • Proficiency in using soldering tools and equipment for fine-pitch and micro-SMD components.
  • Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of electronic components and their functions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electronics or soldering is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in reworking PCBs, including desoldering and replacing SMD components.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for electronic assemblies.
