Department: Admissions & Counselling
Reporting To: Centre Head / Business Manager
Job Summary:The Counsellor is responsible for handling student inquiries, conducting counselling sessions, converting leads into enrollments, and ensuring a smooth admission process. The role also involves maintaining student relationships, supporting marketing initiatives, and achieving monthly admission targets.
- Key Responsibilities:Student Counselling & Conversion
- Attend to walk-in and telephonic inquiries from prospective students.
- Understand student needs and guide them on suitable courses offered by Lakmé Academy.
- Provide complete information about courses, career opportunities, and fee structures.
- Convert inquiries into admissions and meet monthly targets.
- Lead Management
- Follow up on leads generated through marketing activities, digital campaigns, and references.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, walk-ins, and conversions in CRM or Excel.
- Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with faculty, marketing, and operations teams for smooth batch scheduling.
- Maintain professional communication with students and parents regarding courses and payments.
- Marketing Support
- Support centre-level promotional activities such as seminars, workshops, and college connect programs.
- Participate in marketing campaigns to increase student walk-ins.
- Administration
- Maintain daily reports on walk-ins, follow-ups, and conversions.
- Assist in fee collection and ensure timely completion of admission formalities.
- Skills & Competencies:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sales and negotiation ability.
- Good presentation and convincing skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Excel, Email handling).
- Pleasing personality and student-friendly attitude.
- Qualification & Experience:Education: Graduate (preferably in any discipline).
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in counselling, sales, or customer service (preferably in the education/training industry).
