We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Short Visit Nurse & Hospital Companion to provide professional nursing care and emotional support for patients requiring short-duration visits at home and/or companionship during hospital visits. The role combines clinical expertise with attentive companionship, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and well-being throughout their healthcare journey.
Key Responsibilities
As a short Visit Nurse:
Conduct routine nursing tasks during short home visits, including:
Monitoring vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation, etc.)
Medication administration and reminders
Wound care and dressing changes
Post-surgical or post-discharge follow-up care
Assistance with mobility and basic physiotherapy exercises (if required)
Record and report changes in the patient's condition to physicians/family/care coordinators.
Educate patients and families on care routines, treatment adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
As Hospital Companion:
Accompany patients during hospital visits, admissions, or procedures.
Coordinate well with seamless communication between Assist health staff, patient and hospital staff.
Provide comfort, reassurance, and non-clinical companionship during hospital visit of patient.
Be able to communicate about the sequence of medical procedures and updates to be done to patient and family.
Ensure patient's personal needs are met ( comfort, hygiene assistance, mobility support).
Maintain patient safety by preventing falls, assisting with movements, and monitoring environment.
Assist in handling paperwork, billing and insurance procedures for the patient.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (GNM/B.Sc Nursing preferred).
Prior experience in home healthcare, hospital settings, or geriatric care preferred.
Basic knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Compassionate, patient, and attentive to detail.

Competitive salary/hourly rate based on experience.
Additional allowances for extended work hours.
