The Data Engineer plays an integral role in supporting and testing a cohesive information and data management strategy across AWM for traditional and cloud solutions. Leverage Data Lake core capabilities—analytics, measurement, decision analysis, and list services—to support key business priorities. Contribute to strategic decision-making across critical areas by translating business needs into technical requirements. Operate effectively in a dynamic environment, demonstrating strong collaboration and project management skills to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Skilled in data analysis, testing, and managing stakeholder communication and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end analytical support for enterprise business lines using Data Lake capabilities—analytics, measurement, decision analysis, and list services.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities. Apply Data Lake systems expertise to solve strategic and operational challenges with strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders under senior leadership to define business scope, develop and translate requirements into technical specifications, oversee execution, and ensure quality through rigorous control processes.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with business partners through regular meetings, clear communication, and prompt follow-ups.
  • Advocate Data Lake processes while ensuring alignment and responsiveness to partner needs.
  • Ensure compliance with data and model governance standards as defined by industry and enterprise policies.
  • Work with Domain Owners and Quality Assurance lead to develop and implement a consistent testing strategy and process for curated data elements.
  • Identify data quality gaps and devise remediation plan including prioritization and funding in concert with data owners and business stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and project management skills; effective cross-level collaboration.
  • Engineering graduate (B.E./B.Tech.) from a reputed institute preferred.
  • 1–3 years of industry experience.
  • Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts.
  • Proficient in Python and SQL (Athena preferred).
  • Experience with AWS cloud tools.
  • Familiarity with Dataiku preferred.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and quality control capabilities.
  • Excellent communication; comfortable engaging with senior US stakeholders.
  • Skilled in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Financial domain knowledge and awareness of industry trends.
  • Independent and effective communicator.
  • Experience with Visualization tools: Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Proven flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
