AI Applications Engineer – Annotation, Tooling & Data Operations

We're looking for an
AI Applications Engineer
to design, build, and scale intelligent tooling for multimodal AI data operations.

You'll play a key role in automating
human-in-the-loop (HITL)
workflows, improving
annotation efficiency
, and developing
AI-assisted labeling and evaluation systems
that power next-generation GenAI models.


What You'll Work On:

  • Build a
    modular annotation platform
    supporting text, image, audio, and video data.
  • Integrate open-source frameworks such as
    Label Studio, CVAT, Diffgram, Whisper, Pyannote, MediaPipe
    , and
    Vertex AI
    .
  • Develop APIs and SDKs for data ingestion, task creation, and result exports.
  • Implement
    AI-assisted QC pipelines
    that combine automation and human review.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML and data teams to turn customer requirements into scalable product workflows.
  • Automate end-to-end pipelines — from
    data labeling → model training → evaluation → retraining
    .


What You'll Bring:

  • 5–8 years of experience in
    full-stack or AI application development
    , including 2+ years in ML-powered systems.
  • Proficiency in
    Python,
    , and cloud-native frameworks (
    FastAPI, Flask, Express
    ).
  • Hands-on experience with
    AWS or GCP
    (S3/GCS, Lambda, API Gateway, Cloud Run).
  • Strong background with
    annotation/QC tools
    such as Label Studio or CVAT.
  • Familiarity with
    AI model integration
    for vision, audio, and NLP (Rekognition, Whisper, Hugging Face, Vertex AI).
  • Experience in
    databases
    (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Firestore) and
    DevOps
    (Docker, CI/CD).
  • Nice-to-have: experience with
    MLOps
    ,
    active learning
    ,
    RLHF
    , or
    AI evaluation pipelines
    .
