Job Overview

As a Senior Baker in our Bakery Division, you will lead the production of high-quality bakery products including breads, pastries, and desserts. The role demands a perfect balance of creativity and precision, ensuring all products meet Salad Days' standards of taste, presentation, quality, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and execute a wide range of bakery items with superior taste and presentation, including bulk production
  • Innovate and refine recipes in line with market trends to enhance bakery offerings
  • Uphold uncompromising quality, consistency, hygiene, and food safety standards
  • Monitor inventory, manage requisitions, and control waste to optimize operations
  • Supervise, mentor, and train junior bakery staff, fostering skill growth and collaboration
  • Ensure bakery equipment is well-maintained and fully operational
  • Work cross-functionally with kitchen teams and department leaders for smooth operations
  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness and adhere strictly to food safety regulations
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Bakery or Hotel Management
  • Completion of industrial training in bakery operations
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a professional bakery setting
  • Prior experience in staff supervision and training preferred
  • Proficient in both Metric and Imperial measurement systems
  • Strong skills in baking, recipe development, and product presentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong commitment to hygiene, safety, and workplace cleanliness
