Video Editor – Motion Graphics

As part of our growing Digital Media & Branding Division, we are looking for a talented Video Editor with expertise in Motion Graphics and 2D/3D Animation who can bring stories to life through impactful visuals and cinematic editing.

Position Overview:

The Video Editor (Motion Graphics & 2D3D Animation) will conceptualize, design, and produce high-quality visual content for digital campaigns, institutional events, brand promotion, and educational storytelling. The ideal candidate should have a creative eye, technical proficiency, and a passion for animation-driven storytelling that resonates with students and the digital audience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Video Editing & Post-Production

2. Edit and produce professional videos for promotional campaigns, events, campus life, student achievements, and institutional branding.

3. Combine raw footage, music, graphics, and visual effects to deliver polished and engaging videos.
4. Create short-form content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

5. Manage post-production workflows including color grading, sound design, and rendering.

6. Motion Graphics & Animation

7. Design and animate 2D and 3D motion graphics, explainer videos, logo reveals, and title sequences.

8. Create visually compelling animated infographics, intro/outro animations, and transitions.
9. Integrate 3D elements using software like Blender, Cinema 4D, or Maya for immersive video storytelling.

10. Work with faculty and marketing teams to produce animated academic or informational content.

11. Creative Direction & Storyboarding

12. Collaborate with the marketing and content team to conceptualize storyboards, visual themes, and motion styles.

13. Develop visual concepts that align with MPGIs branding, digital campaigns, and communication goals.

14. Translate abstract ideas into visually appealing and technically accurate video compositions.

15. Event & Production Support

16. Capture and edit videos from seminars, cultural events, workshops, and placement drives.

17. Produce event highlight videos and animated recaps for internal and external promotion.

18. Innovation & Digital Branding

19. Stay updated with the latest video editing trends, 3D motion design techniques, AI-powered creative tools, and social media algorithms.

20. Experiment with AR/VR elements, kinetic typography, and immersive video storytelling.
21. Ensure consistency in tone, color, and messaging across all video and animation outputs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelors degree or diploma in Animation, Multimedia, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, Mass Communication, or a related field.
• Experience: 25 years of experience in video editing, motion graphics, or 2D/3D animation (experience in educational/corporate/creative agencies preferred).
• Portfolio: A strong showreel/portfolio demonstrating video editing and motion graphics expertise is mandatory.

Technical Skills Required:

• Video Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
• Motion Graphics & 2D Animation: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Animate, Moho, or Toon Boom
• 3D Animation & Modeling: Blender, Cinema 4D, Autodesk Maya (any one essential)
• Design Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Audition
• Optional: Experience with Unreal Engine, Unity, or AI animation tools is an added advantage
• Knowledge of color theory, typography, visual composition, and cinematic transitions
