Senior .NET Engineer Full Stack (Backend-Heavy)

Location: Salt Lake Sector V, Kolkata (Hybrid – 1 day remote)

Experience: 5 to 8 years

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior .NET Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, improving performance, and modernizing enterprise applications.

You'll work with a global technology team supporting enterprise-scale systems used by thousands of users across Canada — combining strong backend development with light UI responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance enterprise web applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC (v4.8+), LINQ, and Oracle
  • Maintain and optimize backend systems for scalability and performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with ownership and accountability
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams across global offices
  • Contribute to deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps (CI/CD) and Git
  • Document workflows and technical updates for long-term maintainability

Technical Environment

Languages: C#, JavaScript

Frontend: .NET Razor Pages, HTML, CSS, jQuery

Backend: ASP.NET MVC (v4.8+), LINQ

Database: Oracle (query optimization & stored procedures)

DevOps: Azure CI/CD, Git

Must Have

  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in C#, ASP.NET MVC (v4.8 or higher)
  • Strong experience with Oracle database (performance tuning, stored procedures)
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, builds, release management)
  • Proven ability to debug, optimize, and resolve production issues
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills

Nice to Have / Open to Learn

  • Razor Pages (UI layer) – experience or willingness to learn
  • HTML, CSS, jQuery – for light UI maintenance or enhancements
  • Experience with .NET Core / .NET 6+ and microservices architecture
  • Exposure to RESTful APIs, Entity Framework, or modern JS frameworks (React/Angular)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, unit testing (xUnit/NUnit), and SonarQube
