Gyneac RMO

A Gyneac RMO - Resident Medical Officer (RMO) in Gynecology & Obstetrics.

Role Overview:

They are doctors (usually MBBS qualified, sometimes with DGO/MD pursuing) posted in the gynecology/obstetrics department of a hospital. Their duty is to provide round-the-clock medical support for patients admitted under the gynecology & maternity unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attending OPD and IPD gynecology/obstetrics cases
• Conducting initial patient assessment and monitoring vitals
• Assisting consultants during deliveries, C-sections, and surgeries
• Handling emergencies such as PPH, eclampsia, fetal distress, etc.
• Writing case sheets, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Coordinating with nursing staff and other departments
• Managing labor ward and monitoring fetal/maternal condition
• Ensuring patient safety, consent, and timely updates to relatives

Typical Requirement:

• MBBS degree (MCI recognized)
• Registration with State Medical Council
• Experience/interest in Gynecology & Obstetrics
• Ability to handle emergency cases in maternity & gynecology
