Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Backend Developer with at least 1 year of professional experience in Django and REST API development. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of backend systems, database management, and API integrations. You will work closely with our development team to design, build, and maintain scalable backend solutions for our applications.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain backend services using Django and Django REST Framework (DRF).
  • Design, build, and consume REST APIs for web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Ensure application performance, scalability, and security.
  • Work with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and write optimized queries.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in production and development environments.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices.
  • Document technical solutions and APIs for internal and external use.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • 1+ year of experience working with Django and Django REST Framework.
  • Solid understanding of Python programming.
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab).
  • Basic knowledge of Docker, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
