Job Summary

The Bar Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar, ensuring high-quality service, maintaining beverage standards, managing stock and inventory, and leading the bar team to deliver excellent guest experiences in line with the company's hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Supervise and manage daily bar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Maintain beverage quality, presentation, and consistency as per brand standards.
  • Develop new beverage menus, seasonal specials, and promotions.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and develop bartenders and bar staff.
  • Schedule shifts and manage staff performance.
  • Motivate the team to deliver professional, attentive, and personalized guest service.

Financial & Inventory Control

  • Monitor and control bar costs, wastage, and breakages.
  • Manage stock levels, conduct regular inventory checks, and ensure timely ordering.
  • Work with the accounts team to achieve revenue targets and control expenses.

Guest Experience

  • Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle complaints efficiently.
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere and promote upselling of premium beverages.
  • Organize bar events, tastings, and entertainment activities to enhance guest engagement.

Compliance & Standards

  • Adhere to licensing laws and ensure all staff comply with alcohol service regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper functioning of the bar area.
  • Implement and enforce company policies, SOPs, and brand guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Bar Manager or senior bartender in a hotel, resort, or high-end bar.
  • Strong knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and mixology trends.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service-oriented with problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Certification in Mixology / Beverage Management.
  • Knowledge of POS systems and bar inventory software.
  • Creativity in cocktail development and bar concepts.
  • Experience in luxury hospitality or resort operations.
