Job Summary
The Bar Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar, ensuring high-quality service, maintaining beverage standards, managing stock and inventory, and leading the bar team to deliver excellent guest experiences in line with the company's hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Supervise and manage daily bar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Maintain beverage quality, presentation, and consistency as per brand standards.
- Develop new beverage menus, seasonal specials, and promotions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and develop bartenders and bar staff.
- Schedule shifts and manage staff performance.
- Motivate the team to deliver professional, attentive, and personalized guest service.
Financial & Inventory Control
- Monitor and control bar costs, wastage, and breakages.
- Manage stock levels, conduct regular inventory checks, and ensure timely ordering.
- Work with the accounts team to achieve revenue targets and control expenses.
Guest Experience
- Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle complaints efficiently.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere and promote upselling of premium beverages.
- Organize bar events, tastings, and entertainment activities to enhance guest engagement.
Compliance & Standards
- Adhere to licensing laws and ensure all staff comply with alcohol service regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper functioning of the bar area.
- Implement and enforce company policies, SOPs, and brand guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Bar Manager or senior bartender in a hotel, resort, or high-end bar.
- Strong knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and mixology trends.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service-oriented with problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Certification in Mixology / Beverage Management.
- Knowledge of POS systems and bar inventory software.
- Creativity in cocktail development and bar concepts.
- Experience in luxury hospitality or resort operations.
