Overview: The Emulation Engineer plays a crucial role in our organization, responsible for creating and executing emulation and co-simulation environments for our ASIC designs. You will work closely with the design and verification teams to ensure the successful emulation of complex designs, enabling thorough pre-silicon validation and debugging.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain emulation and co-simulation environments
  • Collaborate with design and verification teams to understand the design requirements
  • Execute and debug complex ASIC designs on emulation platforms
  • Implement and optimize testbenches for emulation
  • Create and maintain emulation models for new and existing designs
  • Perform system-level and block-level debugging on emulation platforms
  • Ensure emulation platform stability and performance
  • Integrate emulation tools and flows into the design and validation processes
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of emulation methodologies and best practices
  • Provide support and guidance to other team members on emulation-related tasks
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in emulation or FPGA-based prototyping
  • Solid understanding of Verilog and SystemVerilog
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, or Python
  • Experience with emulation platforms such as Palladium, Veloce, or Zebu
  • Strong debugging skills and the ability to isolate and resolve complex issues
  • Knowledge of ASIC design and verification methodologies
  • Familiarity with hardware description languages and digital design concepts
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in pre-silicon validation and debugging is a plus
  • Understanding of software development processes and tools is a bonus
  • Capability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality work under tight schedules
