Summary of the Role

  • Execute machine shop activities for Multistage Pump Division as per customer requirements.
  • Handle machine shop operations during shifts.
  • Coordinate and execute spare business for MSPD division.
  • Achieve Monthly Operating Plan (MOP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for machine shop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute MOP & AOP in machine shop.
  • Manage mandatory, inland, and export spares.
  • Ensure QAP compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with foundry, machine shop, stores, quality, planning, OPC, dispatch, and design teams.
  • Ensure availability of tools, jigs, fixtures, measuring instruments, and gauges.
  • Attend and execute third-party inspections.
  • Reduce product cost by minimizing rejections, reworks, waste, inventory discrepancies, and complaints.
  • Improve First Time Right (FTR) ratio and resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure on-time delivery.
  • Perform SAP transactions, digital route cards, and generate purchase requisitions for consumables.
  • Manage scrap disposal and maintain shop floor discipline.
  • Drive improvement initiatives: 5S, Kaizen, SMED, process improvement projects.
  • Execute TPM activities in machine shop.
  • Validate and upgrade CNC programs.
  • Develop multi-skilling through CNC training for operators.
  • Optimize machine and resource utilization.
  • Minimize machine losses for OEE improvement.
  • Control inventory, rework, and rejection.
  • Maintain and upgrade machine health.
