Job Description

  • Address limitations of technologies and materials involved in the CAD process.
  • Incorporate feedback into 3D model designs to enhance overall design quality.
  • Use software to create detailed 2D or 3D designs for assigned project components.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry standards, design specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyze design concepts to optimize performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to provide technical support and resolve design-related issues during the production phase.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input to improve the overall quality and reliability of designs.
  • Stay updated on advancements in CAD software and UAV technology to improve design capabilities and efficiency.
  • Prepare computational geometry for FEA/CFD analysis from CAD models.
  • Work with teams to ensure that designs meet all safety and performance requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes, tools, and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of CAD engineering with a focus on design principles.
  • Familiarity with aerodynamics, fluid mechanics, computational fluid dynamics, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, and NX.
  • Understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work within project deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
