Location: Oman

Type: Full-time

We are an established and growing group based in Oman, seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accounts and Audit executive to join our finance team.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in accounting & Auditing, particularly with experience in a Chartered Accountancy (CA) firm, and who is open to relocating for a rewarding international opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash flow.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes.
  • Prepare tax filings and liaise with tax consultants as required.
  • Support inventory control and cost accounting in coordination with operations.
  • Contribute to improving internal financial systems and procedures.
  • Audit Execution:
  • Assist in planning and executing internal audits across financial, operational, and compliance areas.
  • Perform fieldwork, conduct interviews, and test internal controls.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Document audit procedures and findings.
  • Assist in preparing audit reports and presenting recommendations for process improvements.
  • Risk & Compliance:
  • Identify risks and assess internal controls.
  • Test compliance with policies, regulations, and standards.
  • Follow up on corrective actions for audit recommendations.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
  • Work with other departments to gather data and review processes.
  • Stay updated on audit trends and regulations.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (mandatory)
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed CA Intermediate.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a Chartered Accountancy (CA) firm
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally prime, QuickBooks etc.)
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of audit tools is a plus.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
  • CPA, CIA, or CISA certifications are a plus.
  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Prior experience in the restaurant industry is an added advantage
