A QA/QC Engineer (Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineer) with NDT Level II qualifications in DPT, RT, UT, and Leak Testing (MSLD) oversees quality assurance and control in EPC projects, focusing on non-destructive inspections to verify material integrity.

Core Responsibilities

Develop and implement Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and procedures aligned with standards like ISO 9001, ASME, and ASNT. Coordinate NDT activities including DPT for surface defects, RT and UT for internal flaws, and MSLD for leak detection in welds, pipes, and vessels. Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), conduct audits, and ensure vendor compliance through surveillance and third-party inspections.

Daily Tasks

Perform and interpret NDT tests independently, review welding procedures (WPS/PQR), and witness pressure/hydro tests with calibrated equipment. Prepare inspection reports, track KPIs like first-pass yield, and collaborate with construction teams, clients, and subcontractors on quality issues. Maintain documentation for audits, including test records and as-built dossiers, supporting handovers in infrastructure projects.

Expediting Vendor activities as per Manufacturing process of the item and QAP hold points.

Required Skills

Proficiency in NDT methods (ASNT Level II certified), welding inspection, statistical process control (SPC), and tools like Excel for reporting aligns with EPC document control needs. Strong attention to detail, regulatory knowledge, and communication skills ensure compliance in high-stakes civil QA/QC roles.
