Job Title: Head – Fashion Bag Designer (Beaded / Leather)

Location: IMT Manesar, Haryana

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Head – Fashion Bag Designer to lead our Beaded and Leather Bag Design Department at our IMT Manesar facility. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of bag design, craftsmanship, material sourcing, and international fashion trends, along with proven leadership in managing a design team and product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the entire design process for beaded and leather fashion bags—from concept to final product.
  • Develop innovative designs aligned with current and upcoming fashion trends.
  • Oversee sampling, material selection, and product development with focus on detailing and quality.
  • Manage and mentor the design team to ensure creativity and efficiency in design execution.
  • Collaborate with production, merchandising, and sourcing teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Research global trends, colors, materials, and embellishment techniques for seasonal collections.
  • Ensure the final products reflect the brand's aesthetic and meet international quality standards.
  • Coordinate with buyers and clients for custom design development and presentations.
  • Maintain an updated design archive and manage mood boards, sketches, and specifications.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in fashion bag design, with strong expertise in beaded and leather bags.
  • Proven experience in design leadership or head designer roles within fashion/accessory brands or export houses.
  • Strong creative vision with attention to detail, color, and texture.
  • Excellent knowledge of materials, techniques, and embellishments used in bag making.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and team management skills.

Qualification:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Fashion Design / Accessory Design from a reputed institute (NIFT, Pearl, etc. preferred).
