Role Overview:

  • ·       We are looking for a go-getter person who can understand and define (as required):
    1. Analytic strategies to meet the demands of business requirements
    2. Technical requirements of the analytic solutions
    3. Data requirements of the analytic solution processes
  • ·       The person will be part of a major Insurance client. He/ She will work with different stakeholders as SME for insight generation, data quality and testing and dashboard development/enhancement
  • ·       Engages in technical problem solving across multiple technologies; often needs to develop new solutions
  • ·       A typical workday will involve working with stakeholders in individual contributor role 
  • ·       Individual will source data from multiple sources, manipulate and prepare data and run scripts to update Teradata DB
  • ·       He/She will automate processes using SQL and will be debugging, troubleshooting existing codes and optimizing the same
  • ·       Individual will need to develop visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Tableau (preferred) or PowerBI or any other visualization tool
  • ·       Connect Tableau / Visualization tool to different data sources, import data and transform data appropriate for the business problem
  • ·       Adept in developing, publishing and scheduling Tableau reports and to visualize various trends as per the business requirements
  • ·       A suitable candidate should have 5-8 years of experience in a similar role and should possess a go -getter attitude and a high degree of ownership skills. He/ She should be able to deal with ambiguity
  • ·       Experience in insurance preferred but not mandatory
  • ·       Experience in Distribution, specific to in-house and external agents preferred but not mandatory

Key Responsibilities & Skillsets:

  • 6-8 years of experience in analytics, SQL, tableau
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills and should be able to communicate with client effectively
  • Experience in managing SQL codes and collaborating with customer on visualization needs
  • Good knowledge of Relational Data Base Management and SQL/Teradata
  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills. Experience in independent insight generation is preferred
    1. Should be able to work on a problem independently and prepare client ready deliverable with minimal or no supervision
    2. Strong ability to translate functional specifications / requirements to technical requirements
  • Experience in PowerBI is good to have
  • Proficient in creating complex queries, and automate processes across multiple tools
  • 6+ years of strong experience in creating dashboards in Tableau (preferred)
  • Experience in Excel VBA is good to have
