Description

DAZN Hyderabad is seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in modern data platforms and ETL/ELT development to support our global data initiatives. In this role, you will design and optimize data pipelines, work with Snowflake, DBT, and Airflow, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable data solutions that power insights across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support analytics, reporting, and data-driven product features.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and contribute to performance tuning and data quality improvements.
  • Work extensively with Snowflake for data modeling, warehouse optimization, security configurations, and integrations.
  • Build transformation workflows using DBT, ensuring modular, tested, and version-controlled data models.
  • Develop, monitor, and optimize Airflow DAGs for pipeline orchestration and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams to deliver reliable and well-structured datasets.
  • Implement best practices in data warehousing, including partitioning, schema design, and documentation.
  • Use Python or similar scripting languages to create tools and automate workflows across the data platform.
  • Leverage CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and Agile practices to deliver high-quality, production-ready data solutions.
  • Troubleshoot pipeline issues, ensure data accuracy, and improve system reliability and scalability.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • 4–7 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in complex queries and performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, security, integrations).
  • Expertise with DBT (Data Build Tool) for transformation workflows.
  • Experience with Airflow for DAG creation, scheduling, and monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT best practices and data warehousing principles.
  • Proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language for data automation.
  • Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and Agile methodologies.
