Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer with a strong background in API and Functional Test Automation using Selenium, Pytest, and Python. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing robust automation frameworks, developing and maintaining reusable test scripts, validating RESTful APIs, and ensuring seamless integration of test automation into CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for web and API testing.
  • Create and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Pytest, and Python.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across applications.
  • Validate RESTful APIs using Python libraries (e.g., requests, pytest, jsonschema).
  • Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and test case design.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify test requirements, resolve defects, and improve automation coverage.
  • Conduct test result analysis and provide detailed defect reports with root cause insights.
  • Continuously enhance the automation framework for scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Stay updated with emerging tools, frameworks, and industry best practices in test automation.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Test Automation.
  • Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver for web automation.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and Pytest framework.
  • Solid understanding of API testing (REST / JSON) using automation tools and frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
