Data & Analytics Specialist | Data Visualization & Science (Tableau, Power BI, Python/R)

Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient professional to join our team in Data & Analytics. This role plays a vital part in supporting data analysis and data science initiatives that drive business insights, optimize decision-making, and enhance operational efficiencies. The successful candidate will contribute analytical expertise, develop innovative data solutions, and collaborate across teams to enable data-driven strategies. By leveraging advanced data visualization and modeling techniques, you will help translate complex data into meaningful insights that support organizational objectives.

Software Requirements
Required Software Proficiency:

• Tableau (latest or recent versions, with hands-on experience in building dashboards/reports)
• Microsoft Power BI (experience in designing interactive reports)
• R and/or Python (proficient in data analysis, scripting, and visualization libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, or ggplot2)

Preferred Software Skills:

• SQL and database management tools (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Data modeling and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Apache NiFi)
• Jupyter Notebooks, Git/GitHub for version control

Overall Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and deployment of data analysis and data science solutions aligned with project requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop models, and deliver insights
• Build, refine, and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics and trends
• Assist in data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and validation processes
• Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in data analysis and data science to recommend innovative approaches
• Document data processes, models, and solutions to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing
• Contribute to project planning and provide technical input on feasibility and methodology

Technical Skills (By Category)
Programming Languages:

• Required: Python, R
• Preferred: SQL, SAS

Databases/Data Management:

• Required: Experience with relational databases (SQL-based)
• Preferred: Big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)

Cloud Technologies:

• Preferred: Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

Frameworks and Libraries:

• Required: Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, or equivalent in R
• Preferred: Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras

Development Tools and Methodologies:

• Version control with Git/GitHub
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes

Security Protocols:

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in data analysis, data science, or related roles
• Proven experience in designing and implementing data models, dashboards, and reports
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and translating business needs into technical solutions
• Industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory; relevance in finance, healthcare, retail, or technology sectors is preferred
• Alternative pathways: Demonstrated project work, open-source contributions, or relevant academic projects can be considered

Day-to-Day Activities

• Extract, clean, and prepare data from various sources for analysis
• Develop and refine predictive models and statistical analyses
• Build interactive dashboards and visualizations for stakeholders
• Participate in project meetings to define objectives and deliverables
• Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and project managers to align solutions with business goals
• Monitor and optimize data pipelines and models for performance
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship where applicable
• Document procedures, methodologies, and findings for transparency and reproducibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field (equivalent industry experience considered)
• Certifications in Data Science, Business Intelligence tools, or Cloud platforms are a plus
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning through training, courses, or conferences
