Job Title: Safety Officer
Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years
Location: Ropar Punjab and Ahmadabad, Gujarat
Industry: Construction / Infrastructure / Industrial Projects
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer with a proven track record of implementing and managing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices at reputed infrastructure and industrial project sites. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably having worked with leading organizations such as Tata Projects, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), and Adani Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable HSE regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor and enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety measures on-site.
- Lead Toolbox Talks (TBTs), safety induction training, and regular awareness programs for workers and staff.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, or near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Liaise with client safety teams (e.g., Tata, L&T, Adani) to ensure all client-specific safety norms are adhered to.
- Maintain and update all safety-related documentation, including work permits, checklists, emergency response plans, etc.
- Supervise implementation of fire safety, electrical safety, height work precautions, and other site-specific hazards.
- Promote a culture of safety-first and proactive hazard identification among the workforce.
- Coordinate with site management and contractors to ensure safe work practices are followed at all times.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of construction/industrial safety protocols.
- Familiar with IS/OSHA/ISO 45001 standards and guidelines.
- Hands-on experience in incident investigation and reporting.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and safety reporting software.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple contractors.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science (preferred)
- Certified Safety Officer Course (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, ADIS, or equivalent)
- Certification in First Aid/Fire Fighting will be an added advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹18, ₹22,000.00 per month
