Position Summary:

We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer experienced in building end-to-end SaaS applications within the Shopify ecosystem. The ideal candidate has strong technical leadership, proven experience developing from concept to deployment, and hands-on expertise in , TypeScript, and Python.

This role is ideal for an engineer who can architect scalable systems, write clean and secure code, and take ownership of critical app components that serve thousands of Shopify merchants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy Shopify apps using , TypeScript, and React (Remix or ).
  • Build and maintain high-performance backend APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
  • Integrate with Shopify Admin, Storefront, and Partner APIs and manage webhook workflows.
  • Use Python for automation scripts, analytics tasks, and backend data processing.
  • Architect and optimize relational and caching databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis).
  • Manage authentication flows (OAuth 2.0, JWT) and implement secure coding practices.
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure (DigitalOcean, , AWS).
  • Conduct peer code reviews, enforce engineering best practices, and mentor junior developers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with DevOps, Product, and Founders to deliver features on schedule.

_ Required Qualifications:_

  • 7+ years of full-stack development experience, including leadership on SaaS or product teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in , TypeScript, and Python.
  • Strong experience with Shopify App Bridge, Polaris, and GraphQL Admin API.
  • Hands-on experience building production-grade applications from scratch.
  • Expertise with REST/GraphQL APIs, asynchronous jobs, and distributed systems.
  • Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL database design and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud infrastructure management.
  • Strong system design, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in publishing or maintaining apps on the Shopify App Store.
  • Background in security, fraud prevention, or authentication systems.
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools and dashboard integration (Metabase, Elasticsearch, etc.).
  • Experience in leading small engineering teams or mentoring developers.
