Computer Operator – Job Description (For BCA Candidates)

Position: Computer Operator

Qualification Required: BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications)

Experience: 3 years (as applicable)

Location: Vadodara

Job Summary

The Computer Operator will be responsible for managing daily computer operations, data entry tasks, system monitoring, documentation, and providing basic technical support. The candidate must have good knowledge of computer applications, MS Office, and basic IT troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily data entry and ensure accuracy in all records.
  • Operate and maintain computer systems, printers, and office equipment.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure smooth functioning of tasks.
  • Prepare and maintain reports, files, and documentation.
  • Support IT team in software installation, system updates, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Manage emails, prepare letters, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Ensure timely backup of data and maintain data confidentiality.
  • Assist in maintaining company ERP/software (if applicable).
  • Coordinate with different departments for data collection and processing.
  • Maintain logs of all operations and report issues to seniors.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware & software.
  • Good typing speed and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of internet tools, email management, and online portals.
  • Ability to learn new software and applications quickly.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills (Optional)

  • Knowledge of Tally / ERP software.
  • Basic programming knowledge
  • Basic networking concepts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10, ₹16,000.00 per month
