Responsibilities
- Facilitating effective communication and resolving conflicts within the department and across the hospital.
- Supervise and manage radiology staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating performance
- Ensure quality patient care by developing, implementing, and evaluating processes and procedures
- Maintain compliance with Local and state regulations, as well as safety and quality standards
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, including monitoring spending, analyzing financial data, and making recommendations for cost-saving measures
- Oversee the procurement and maintenance of radiology equipment and supplies
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers and departments to coordinate patient care and services
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, and make recommendations for improvements to practices, equipment, and procedures
- Monitor and evaluate departmental performance metrics, and make changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or related field
- Current certification as a radiologic technologist
- 8-10 years of experience in a radiology department is mandatory
- 2+ years of management or supervisory experience
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Local & state regulations and safety and quality standards
- Proficient in using radiology equipment and software
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
