Cloud Architect

Description :

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Cloud Architect with a strong background in Microsoft Azure and enterprise-scale cloud-native solution design. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of Azure services, microservices architecture, and DevOps automation, along with the ability to lead teams in designing, modernizing, and scaling distributed systems.

This is a senior, hands-on architectural role requiring both technical depth and strategic leadership ideal for someone who can define architecture roadmaps, mentor engineering teams, and drive the successful delivery of complex cloud transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect, design, and implement cloud-native applications leveraging Azure services such as Functions, Blob Storage, Logic Apps, and API Management.

- Define and own application architecture patterns, microservices strategy, and integration frameworks aligned with enterprise goals.

- Lead solution design sessions and provide architecture guidance to development, DevOps, and operations teams.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions.

- Define and enforce architecture principles, standards, and best practices for cloud development, deployment, and governance.

- Architect and implement microservices using Docker or similar container platforms, ensuring resiliency and observability.

- Create and maintain architecture blueprints, reference implementations, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates.

- Embed security, compliance, cost optimization, and performance best practices into application designs.

- Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) efforts and evaluate emerging technologies for cloud modernization.

- Partner with DevOps teams to define CI/CD pipelines, release strategies, and automation frameworks using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.

- Mentor engineers and architects on DevOps, cloud patterns, automation, and resilience strategies.

- Drive governance, documentation, and continuous improvement across application delivery processes.

Required Skills & Experience :

years of total IT experience, including 5 years in cloud architecture and design.

- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect with strong focus on Microsoft Azure.

- Hands-on experience with Azure services Functions, Logic Apps, Blob Storage, API Management, App Services, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

- Strong programming background in .NET, including .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, EF Core, MVC, and REST API design.

years of experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs using OpenAPI or RAML specifications.

years of experience developing and deploying microservices in containerized environments (Docker or equivalent).

- Strong understanding of serverless architectures, event-driven systems, and integration patterns (Event Grid, Service Bus, etc.).

- Solid knowledge of cloud automation, IaC (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep), and DevOps pipelines.

- Proven ability to lead large-scale cloud transformation initiatives.

- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and cost optimization in cloud environments.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Good to Have Skills :

- Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP).

- Exposure to Kubernetes, Helm, and service mesh architectures.

- Familiarity with API Gateway design, Identity Management (OAuth, Azure AD), and Zero Trust Architecture.

- Experience in performance tuning, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
