Job DescriptionRole Purpose:
The Data Analyst - Cloud plays a critical role in transforming how data fuels decision-making within the organization. This position is responsible for designing, architecting, and spearheading the development of advanced data solutions that empower teams to unlock valuable insights leveraging cloud technologies. The successful individual will orchestrate end-to-end machine learning and artificial intelligence implementations that drive efficiency, innovation, and competitive advantage across business units. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and a passion for transforming complex data sets into actionable intelligence.
As part of a dynamic technology services team at Wipro Technologies, you will act as a bridge between data engineering, data science, and business stakeholders ensuring data assets are reliable, well-governed, and optimized for analytical consumption.

͏Position Overview:
The Data Analyst - Cloud is a detail-oriented professional dedicated to ensuring organizational data integrity from initial capture through to its readiness for analysis and reporting. This role requires proficiency in data transformation, validation, and consolidation, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of data quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Integration & Transformation: Architect and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines aggregating data from diverse sources, including databases, APIs, and files. Apply sophisticated business logic to cleanse, standardize, and enrich raw data sets to meet analytical requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement rigorous validation frameworks and automated testing protocols to verify data accuracy, consistency, and completeness within the unified data repositories. Proactively monitor data workflows to detect and resolve anomalies swiftly.
- Ingestion & Completeness Oversight: Identify gaps or deficiencies in incoming data streams, coordinating with engineering teams to rectify source data issues and trigger reprocessing as necessary to maintain data fidelity.
- Reporting & Analytics Support: Generate insightful ad-hoc reports, interactive dashboards, and data visualizations to empower stakeholders in making informed, data-driven decisions. Communicate complex analytical findings clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Documentation & Governance: Maintain comprehensive documentation encompassing data models, process flows, metadata inventories, and data lineage. Participate proactively in data governance activities to foster organizational data stewardship and transparency.
- Process Optimization & Automation: Continuously evaluate existing analytical workflows, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements using scripting languages and tools.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work in close partnership with business analysts, data engineers, data scientists, IT, and DevOps teams to align data outputs with business needs and ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of data infrastructure.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a robust academic background with at least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related disciplines. A minimum of 8 years' relevant professional experience in data analysis, data engineering, or similar roles within technologically advanced environments is essential.
- Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in SQL, coupled with hands-on experience in ETL/ELT frameworks such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or Apache Airflow. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) is highly desirable.
- Programming & Tools: Experience in Python programming tailored for data science tasks. Knowledge of big data ecosystems like Spark and Hadoop and expertise in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) for dashboard creation enhances application strength.
- Analytical Competencies: A meticulous and analytical mindset capable of dissecting complex datasets to detect patterns, validate information, and provide insightful interpretations.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to translate intricate data complexities into actionable business insights and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
