About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 
Finishing Engineer
 to join our PMC team for a 
School Building Project
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and ensuring the quality and timely completion of all finishing works executed by the contractors, in line with approved drawings and specifications.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and monitor all 
    finishing activities
     at site, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Conduct 
    daily site inspections
     to assess progress, workmanship, and material quality.
  • Coordinate with 
    client, consultants, and contractors
     for resolving design and execution issues.
  • Review and verify 
    method statements, material approvals
    , and 
    inspection requests (IRs)
     related to finishing works.
  • Prepare and maintain 
    Daily Progress Reports (DPRs)
    , 
    Weekly Progress Reports (WPRs)
    , and other documentation required by the PMC.
  • Track progress of finishing works including 
    plastering, flooring, tiling, false ceiling, painting, joinery, glazing, façade, and external finishes
    .
  • Identify and report delays, discrepancies, or quality deviations, and follow up for timely rectification.
  • Participate in 
    quality audits, snagging, and de-snagging activities
     prior to project handover.
  • Monitor contractor manpower, work sequence, and material usage to ensure project schedule adherence.
  • Support the Project Manager in 
    client meetings, coordination reviews, and report submissions
    .

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Qualification:
     Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience:
     4–8 years of experience in 
    building finishing works
    , with at least part of it on 
    institutional or school building projects
    .
  • Experience from the 
    PMC or Client-side
     will be preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of 
    interior and exterior finishing materials
    , 
    quality standards
    , and 
    execution sequences
    .
  • Ability to read and interpret 
    architectural, structural, and services drawings
    .
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills for working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficient in 
    MS Office
    , 
    AutoCAD
    , and standard project documentation formats (DPR/WPR/MoM).
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to maintaining quality and safety standards.
