About the Role

SoftProdigy is seeking a versatile Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and data pipelines. You will work on a mix of projects including internal tools, data-driven solutions, and AI/ML integrations.

This role is ideal for developers with strong Python skills, experience in cloud-native architectures, and an interest in emerging AI/ML technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions for international clients.

Key Responsibilities

·       Develop and maintain robust Python backend applications using frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

·       Design and implement APIs, microservices, and serverless functions to integrate with external systems and data sources.

·       Build and optimize data pipelines and workflows using libraries such as Pandas, Polars, NumPy.

·       Configure and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) using best practices and infrastructure as code (IaC).

·       Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).

·       Monitor and optimize application performance, security, and scalability.

·       Collaborate with product, frontend, and ML teams to deliver seamless solutions.

·       Prepare documentation, including architecture diagrams, API specs, and deployment guides.

Required Skills

· –6 years of experience in Python backend development.

·       Strong expertise in Python, OOP, and software engineering principles.

·       Experience with API design, RESTful services, and backend integration.

·       Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

·       Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

·       Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.

·       Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Good to Have (AI/ML Exposure)

·       Experience with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face).

·       Exposure to NLP, speech recognition, or LLM integration.

·       Audio/video processing experience (e.g., torchaudio, librosa, ExoPlayer).

·       Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS, microservices, or serverless architectures.

·       Knowledge of Python async frameworks (asyncio, FastAPI async endpoints).
