Job Overview

We are seeking a Kitchen Technician at Holiday Inn Resort South Goa, responsible for maintaining and repairing kitchen equipment. This full-time position requires 1 to 3 years of experience and involves ensuring all equipment operates efficiently to meet the resort's high standards of service and quality.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must possess HVAC Systems Maintenance (Mandatory skill) expertise to ensure efficient climate control within kitchen environments.
  • Proficient in commercial kitchen equipment repair, working on a range of appliances and ensuring their functionality.
  • Expert in electrical troubleshooting, including diagnosing and repairing electrical faults in kitchen equipment.
  • Skilled in gas appliance repair, focusing on safe and effective maintenance of gas-powered kitchen devices.
  • Experience with refrigeration systems, including servicing and maintaining fridges and freezers.
  • Capability to schedule and perform preventive maintenance, reducing downtime and extending equipment lifespan.
  • Adept at interpreting technical manuals, ensuring correct application of procedures and standards.
  • Thorough knowledge and application of safety standards compliance to maintain a safe working environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of kitchen equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with health regulations.
  • Diagnose and repair any faults in kitchen appliances and systems quickly to minimize disruption to kitchen operations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to address and resolve equipment issues promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed on all kitchen technology and machinery.
  • Implement and adhere to preventive maintenance schedules to prolong the life of all equipment and reduce the need for extensive repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and standards, actively promoting a safe work environment.
  • Assist in the installation of new kitchen equipment and ensure proper operation post-installation.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in kitchen technology and maintenance practices to continuously improve service quality.
