Mission: EkiBeki is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to preserve India's rich craft heritage and promote traditional arts and crafts in contemporary forms. We aim to revive folk arts, generate sustainable livelihoods for artisans, and support community craft clusters.

Workshops: The workshops are curated, cozy events held in cafes, aimed at connecting artisans with a broader, more urban audience. These workshops are not only educational but also designed to increase visibility for the artisans and EkiBeki.

Exhibitions: Exhibitions are events showcasing crafts, where artisans display and sell their work, sharing the cultural significance and stories behind their craft.

Training: Upskilling artisans with modern design processes and designs, supporting them in reaching urban customers through online sales, exhibitions and customer workshops

Role Description

We're Hiring: Junior Graphic Designer

Are you a creative soul with a love for color, craft, and storytelling through design?

Join our team at EkiBeki, a not for profit enterprise dedicated to upskilling traditional artisans to keep them relevant to modern aesthetics.

As Junior Graphic Designer, you will support senior designers by creating visual content, including marketing materials, and digital layouts, and assists with editing images and preparing files for print or digital use. Key responsibilities include understanding project requirements, using design software like Adobe Creative Suite, adhering to brand guidelines, and collaborating with teams to meet deadlines.

Key tasks include:

• Collaborate with senior designers and marketing teams on visual concepts for both print and digital media

- Assist in creating a variety of assets, such as graphics, banners, flyers, and presentations.

- Help with layouts, typography, and other design decisions for projects like brochures, websites, and email campaigns.

• Design graphics for products — including patterns, packaging, and surface prints.

- Support photo editing, catalogs, and marketing collaterals.

• Edit and retouch images to ensure high quality.

• Collaborate with designers and artisans to translate beautiful craft stories into modern design.

- Maintain and organize a library of digital assets.

What we're looking for:

0-2 years of experience (interns welcome)

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Canva proficiency is an added bonus

Strong understanding of visual elements, including layout, color theory, and typography.

Strong aesthetic sense and a passion for handmade, sustainable design

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Strong time management and multitasking abilities to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

A keen eye for detail and creativity.

We are also looking for a Junior Product Designer, same qualifications.
