Maintenance Executive

• A Maintenance Engineer oversees all maintenance activities to ensure facilities and equipment are in good working order. Key responsibilities include managing staff, scheduling and performing repairs, maintaining budgets, ensuring safety compliance, and developing long-term maintenance strategies. They also handle administrative tasks like ordering supplies and reporting on maintenance activities.
• Core responsibilities
• Staff and budget management: Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance staff, and manage the maintenance budget and expenditures.
• Maintenance and repairs: Schedule and oversee routine inspections, repairs, and installations for equipment and building systems (like plumbing, electrical, and HVAC).
• Safety and compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities and facilities comply with safety standards and regulations, such as OSHA.
• Strategy and planning: Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Operations and logistics: Respond to emergency maintenance requests and manage the inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment.
• Record-keeping and reporting: Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance activities, expenses, and progress reports.
• Contractor management: Coordinate and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors for specialized work.
• Key skills and qualifications Strong leadership and management skills to supervise a team.
• Expertise in a variety of maintenance fields, such as electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. Budget management and financial planning skills. Good communication and reporting skills.
