Job Description

Job Title: Senior Associate – Quality Assurance

Experience: 5–7 years
Location: Hyderabad
Department: Quality Assurance
Reports To: QA Lead / QA Manager

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Associate – QA with strong expertise in functional testing and test automation. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute functional and automated test cases based on business and technical requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

  • Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect management tools.

  • Contribute to test planning, estimation, and strategy discussions.

  • Maintain and enhance automation frameworks and scripts.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and support continuous integration and delivery efforts.

  • Mentor junior QA team members and support knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of experience in software QA, with a strong focus on functional and automation testing.

  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Ruby, or similar.

  • Proficiency in writing test cases, test scripts, and working with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr).

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have:

  • Experience in Ruby, Java, Selenium.

  • Experience with Jenkins, LambdaTest, and GitLab

  • Exposure to API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured or Insomnia

  • Experience with relational databases and writing SQL queries
