Our Cloud Application Security team protects our cloud-first infrastructure by embedding security into every stage of the development lifecycle.

As Specialist Cloud Application Security Engineer based in Bengaluru, you'll lead efforts to strengthen our cloud security posture, automate compliance, and integrate security alerts into our MDR platform. You'll play a key role in our shift-left security strategy - working closely with DevOps, AppSec, and Compliance teams to embed controls across CI/CD and cloud environments.

This is a high-impact role with the opportunity to shape how we secure AWS and Azure at scale.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead security posture assessments across AWS and Azure environments, identifying and remediating misconfigurations and compliance gaps.
• Define and enforce baseline cloud security standards, supporting ongoing audits and compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and DORA.
• Automate cloud compliance monitoring using tools such as CrowdStrike Cloud Security, Prisma Cloud, AWS Security Hub, and Azure Defender.
• Integrate cloud threat intelligence and misconfiguration findings into Rapid7 InsightIDR for centralized detection and response.
• Design custom detection logic and automated response playbooks across AWS and Azure using Falcon Fusion, SOAR platforms, and scripting tools.
• Collaborate with SOC and Incident Response teams to triage and contain cloud-based security events.
• Embed IaC scanning and shift-left security practices into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps teams.
• Drive secure-by-default configurations in Terraform, Kubernetes, and serverless stacks.
• Continuously evaluate emerging cloud threats and enhance standards, processes, and tooling to maintain a hardened cloud environment.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of commercial experience, with deep hands-on expertise in securing AWS and Azure environments.
• Strong practical knowledge of cloud-native security tools such as CrowdStrike Cloud Security, Prisma Cloud, and Defender solutions.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of cloud compliance frameworks including DORA, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST.
• Proven ability to integrate cloud telemetry with SIEM/MDR platforms like Rapid7 InsightIDR and implement effective detection workflows.
• Experience with IaC and CI/CD security practices, including Terraform hardening and embedding scanning tools in pipelines.
• Solid scripting ability using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate detection, remediation, and reporting processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive mindset and the ability to translate technical risk for diverse audiences.
