Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum 5 plus years of experience with IBM mainframe systems and monitoring tools.
- Hands-on experience with OMEGAMON in z/OS environments.
- Strong understanding of mainframe systems architecture, including JES2, SDSF, SMF, RMF, WLM, CICS, DB2, and MQ.
- Familiarity with Tivoli Monitoring, PARMGEN configuration, and Tivoli Enterprise Portal (TEP).
- Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.
- Working knowledge of SMP/E, RACF, and JCL scripting.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Knowledge of other monitoring and automation tools (e.g., Netcool, BMC, Splunk, CA Sysview).
- Understanding of ITIL practices and service management.
- Experience in batch job scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, TWS).
- Familiarity with modern IT monitoring dashboards and integrations (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus for hybrid environments).
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
