Please note that this is a work from home role and candidates from in and around Chennai/Bangalore are highly encouraged to apply; however experienced in medicolegal applications are accepted and welcomed from all over India.

POSITION SUMMARY:

For the Medical Typist/Quality Assurance/Editor - this position includes transcription of dictators from various medical specialties including medico-legal. It also identifies and evaluates inconsistencies and inaccuracies in a medical document adhering to strict Australian Medical Guidelines and turnaround times.

SUMMARY OF MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Transcription, including editing of dictated jobs of medical/medico-legal dictation by physician and other healthcare providers, including the use of medical references, websites, quality feedback, and other educational materials to consistently ensure high accuracy. Ensuring the delivery of documents within the agreed turn-around time for the client.
• Deliver quality transcribed documents with exceptional quality assurance scores.

REQUIREMENTS / EXPERIENCE

• Australian/UK Medico-legal experience is highly valued.
• Medical Terminology Certificate or related Healthcare course (not essential but desirable).
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in advanced medical terminology.
• Must be comfortable with handling difficult dictators, whether caused by heavy accent, poor dictation habits, or difficult dictation environment.
• Highly competent in research using reference books, the Internet, or previous report reference.
• Editing skills to include correction of demographics, document format, grammar, punctuation, and medical terminology.
• Must have strong time management, prioritisation skills, and ability to meet frequent rigid deadlines.
• Must have the ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be IT savvy, as we use the latest technology and multiple systems.

Job Type:

• Full-Time hours are available. You may work between 30 and 40 hours per week and we have plenty of work to source.

• You must have your own equipment, Licensed Windows 10 or 11, Virus Protection, Headphones, Foot Pedal and strong, reliable Internet and power back-up at your Home office. (Please note that Apple Mac computers are not compatible with our systems, unless you have a special windows upgrade)
