Role & responsibilities

  • Design, install, and maintain AV systems for various clients.
  • Perform site surveys to understand the requirements and scope of AV projects.
  • Troubleshoot and repair AV equipment and systems.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their AV needs and provide solutions.
  • Train clients on the proper use of their AV systems.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AV technology trends and developments.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Profound knowledge in audio, video and control system hardware and software to ensure smooth operation of AV systems.
  • Experience with AV system design and integration, including knowledge of networked AV and control systems.
  • Problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair issues with audiovisual systems, often while working under pressure.
  • Project management skills to oversee the installation of audiovisual systems from start to finish.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, understand their needs and provide them with the best AV solutions.
  • Attention to detail to ensure all components of an AV system work together seamlessly.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications for AV system installation.
  • Understanding of electrical systems, as well as safety regulations and standards in the AV industry.
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle AV equipment installations and repairs.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an AV Integration Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of AV systems and equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with AV design software and tools.
  • BSc degree in Audio Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
