Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Reporting & Month-End Close Specialist to join our finance team. This role is responsible for preparing comprehensive finance packs, managing month-end and year-end closing activities, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and experience supporting both internal and external audits.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive Finance Packs for clients, including Funding Statements, Cash Flow Projections, and detailed commentary on Profit & Loss variances.
  • Conduct monthly review meetings with clients to discuss the P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Manage and submit Quarterly VAT Returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
  • Execute month-end and year-end closing activities, including necessary procedural adjustments.
  • Post and manage accruals, prepayments, and other reclassification journal entries.
  • Perform Nominal Ledger reviews to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded within the correct accounting period.
  • Carry out Bank Reconciliations, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, and Intercompany Reconciliations.
  • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring accurate calculation and posting of depreciation.
  • Provide support for both internal and external audits, including documentation and query resolution.

Must haves:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Communicates in an open, honest, and respectful manner using appropriate styles and methods.
