Role overview Lead the Network Tower as an L3 technical authority for both data and voice domains. Own escalations, complex troubleshooting, design validation, change approvals, and mentor the L2/operations team. Act as escalation point for incidents, participate in network architecture reviews, and ensure high availability, performance, and security across on prem and cloud networking.

Core responsibilities


• Provide L3 support for complex incidents, root cause analysis, and drive permanent fixes across data and voice networks


• Lead technical incident response for LAN/WAN, data center, voice/UC, and hybrid cloud networking incidents


• Approve and validate network/voice change designs, perform impact analysis, and provide implementation runbooks


• Collaborate with architects and project teams on network/voice designs, migrations, upgrades, and integrations


• Manage vendor escalations and work with OEM/TAC teams (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, etc.) to resolution


• Define and enforce operational standards, runbooks, playbooks, and SOPs for network and voice services


• Mentor and coach team; conduct knowledge transfers and technical training sessions


• Drive automation and tooling improvements for repeated operational tasks (scripting, orchestration)


• Ensure adherence to security policies, change control, and compliance requirements


• Participate in on call rotation and perform after hours escalations as required Required technical skills & expertise


• Deep L3 level knowledge of enterprise networking for data and voice


• Strong troubleshooting across routing, switching, multicast, QoS, VPNs, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and HA designs


• Voice/UC expertise including SIP, VoIP QoS, call signaling, session border controllers, gateways and CUCM/Call Manager integrations


• Hands on experience with network security concepts and firewall troubleshooting


• Experience with load balancers, ADCs, and related traffic steering
