Key Responsibilities
People Leadership:
Create the R&D team structure.
Build and scale a high-performing team of 20+ engineers, mainly based in India.
Manage and inspire the team to deliver the art of the possible.
Manage a multi-million-dollar R&D budget and measure team ROI.
Technology Strategy:
Define and execute an R&D vision at the intersection of cloud, AI/ML, and agentic AI, focused on delivering service-based solutions (not tied to a single product).
Lead initiatives to integrate Agentic AI, ML, and cloud-native engineering practices with our consulting & delivery groups, within the Studio and Amdocs wide, to deliver production outcomes at enterprise scale.
Drive the development of horizontal solutions across multiple industries, ensuring adaptability and reusability of innovations not tied to a specific vertical.
Work closely with go to market team & presales to deliver R&D solutions for their global service offerings.
Organizational Change Agent:
Influence global consulting delivery, partnering with consulting & delivery leaders, promoting adoption of new technologies and delivery models.
Act as a trusted advisor to GM and CXO-level stakeholders internally and externally, representing the Cloud Studio with strong executive presence and communication.
Drive innovation in cloud & data modernization, platform-as-a-product, and data-as-a-product initiatives.
Champion engineering best practices and measurable business impact.
Qualifications
15+ years professional experience in engineering, with 10+ years services and consulting environments.
Strong technical foundation, having grown from a hands-on engineering background in cloud, software, or data engineering.
10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with deep knowledge of modernization, migration, and platform engineering.
Proven expertise in Agentic AI, AI/ML, and deploying intelligent systems in production at scale.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and ability to story-tell & influence at the executive (CXO) level.
Track record of leading engineering teams and delivering innovative, service-driven solutions.
Experience managing large-scale budgets and scaling teams in a mix of offshore and onshore locations.
Demonstrated success as a change agent in global organizations, driving adoption of new technologies and approaches.
Product-mindset with the ability to balance innovation with service-delivery execution.
