Role in a Nutshell

You will design, develop, document, and support systems and applications that are used by a large number of developers. You will work in an agile engineering team and will be responsible for planning and executing technical projects that support business requirements. You will collaborate with engineers across teams to build, review, and deliver scalable solutions for key business initiatives. You will drive best practices, mentor other engineers, foster continuous improvements in engineering excellence, and provide inputs for product features.

Desired Experience

  • Software development or programming experience of 3–6 years working with scalable backend systems.
  • Experience in developing stable and performant software at scale.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Ruby, , Python, Java, C/C++, Golang.
  • Good knowledge of operating systems, databases, and networking concepts.
  • Ability to work on Windows and Linux platforms below the application layer, including file systems, kernels, custom installations, scripting, internal APIs, etc.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Startup mentality with a high willingness to learn and strong work ethic.

What You Will Do

  • Take responsibility for designing and developing systems and applications with agility and quality.
  • Own tasks end-to-end, from development to production.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and launch of key product features.
  • Participate in a culture of code reviews and collaborate closely with other engineers.
  • Drive best practices and continuous engineering improvements.
  • Find solutions and resolve issues across various operating systems and programming languages.
  • Create prototypes and proofs-of-concept for iterative development.
  • Work effectively with product development and engineering teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers in strong design and implementation practices.
  • Assist in the continual hiring and development of technical talent.
