Software Development Engineer 3Summary of the Role

Join us as a Software Development Engineer 3 (SDE3) and help design, develop, and maintain robust back-end systems that power global travel. You'll work on scalable solutions, automation, and cloud technologies in a collaborative environment.

In This Role You'll

  • Develop and maintain Java-based back-end applications and services.

  • Work with containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.

  • Operate and monitor production and customer-facing applications in distributed environments.

  • Automate workflows using scripting and tools like Python, Ansible, and Terraform.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing systems.

About the Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in Java back-end development (typically 7+ years or equivalent practical experience).

  • Proficiency with Linux/Unix and Windows environments, networking concepts, and cloud fundamentals.

  • Ability to design automation solutions and produce clear documentation.

  • Problem-solving skills to improve workflows and system performance.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Experience

  • Knowledge of high-availability systems and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.

  • Experience with ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) tools.

  • Familiarity with automation frameworks and digital transformation programs.
