We are seeking a
Data Governance Manager
to lead the design, implementation, and operationalization of a comprehensive
enterprise data governance framework
. The role will ensure that data across the organization is accurate, consistent, secure, and compliant with internal and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with
Microsoft Purview
,
Snowflake
, and
Talend
, along with strong knowledge of
metadata management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks
. This position requires strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to embed governance into day-to-day business operations and analytics delivery.

  • Must-Have Skills (Mandatory)
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Quality.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Purview for metadata ingestion, lineage visualization, and policy enforcement.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud, Azure Synapse, and Talend Data Fabric/ETL pipelines.
  • Proven ability to define and maintain data glossaries, reference data models, and lineage automation.
  • Experience integrating governance controls with ServiceNow, JIRA, and Azure DevOps for issue tracking and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of data protection and compliance policies (masking, retention, encryption, RBAC).
  • Demonstrated understanding of DAMA-DMBOK and EDM Council CDMC governance frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to drive governance adoption across IT and business teams.
  • Good-to-Have Skills (Optional)
  • Familiarity with Informatica Data Quality, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker lineage integration.
  • Knowledge of data stewardship models, governance maturity assessments, and KPI-based governance reporting.
  • Experience leading tool evaluations or Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for metadata and quality management platforms.
  • Exposure to automation of governance workflows using scripting or integration tools.
  • Prior experience in regulatory reporting or audit preparation within data management domains.
  • Strong ability to mentor teams on data ownership, literacy, and stewardship best practices.
  • Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience: 5–8+ years in data governance, metadata management, or enterprise data quality programs.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Purview Data Governance Specialist

  • DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
