Fashion Designer

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Fashion Designer to join our team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about fashion to gain hands-on experience in the industry. The intern will work closely with our experienced design team and contribute to various stages of the design process, from concept development to production.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in researching current fashion trends, fabrics, and techniques.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and concept development meetings.
- Create sketches, illustrations, and technical drawings using design software and by hand.
- Collaborate with the design team to develop mood boards, color palettes, and fabric swatches.
- Assist in sourcing materials and trims from suppliers.
- Support the design team in preparing for presentations and meetings with clients or stakeholders.
- Participate in fittings and garment construction sessions, providing input and feedback as needed.
- Help maintain organization and cleanliness in the design studio.
- Support various administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a fashion design or related program. (Preferred NIFT)
- 2 years experience in same field
- Strong passion for fashion and a keen eye for trends and aesthetics.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or CAD.
- Excellent sketching and illustration skills.
- Basic knowledge of garment construction techniques and pattern-making.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong time management skills.
- Prior internship or relevant experience in fashion design is a plus.
