Job Title: English Teacher

Job Summary

The English Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging English language lessons to students. The role includes teaching grammar, literature, reading, writing, and communication skills while ensuring academic growth and holistic language development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach English language and literature as per the school curriculum.
  • Prepare and deliver lesson plans that are clear, structured, and engaging.
  • Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative writing, and spoken English.
  • Prepare students for exams, class tests, assessments, and competitions.
  • Assign and evaluate classwork, homework, and projects.
  • Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment.
  • Encourage students to develop strong communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Support slow learners through remedial classes when required.
  • Maintain academic records, student progress reports, and attendance.
  • Collaborate with other teachers for academic planning and school events.
  • Promote reading habits through activities like debates, story writing, elocution, etc.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in English / Education (B.A./M.A. in English, B.Ed preferred).
  • Strong command of English grammar and literature.
  • Good communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to create interactive and student-centered lessons.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and digital tools.

Work Experience

  • 1–3 years of teaching experience preferred (flexible as per institution).
