We are looking for professionals with hands-on experience in
Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS)
to help us design, integrate, and scale bill payment services across categories and participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the
    integration and onboarding
    of billers and agents within the BBPS ecosystem (BBPOU, BBPS Central Unit, Biller Operating Units).
  • Work with NPCI and partner banks to ensure compliance with
    BBPS guidelines
    , settlement processes, and dispute management frameworks.
  • Develop and manage
    API integrations
    with BBPS platforms (fetch, payment, confirmation, complaint, reversal APIs).
  • Handle
    transaction lifecycle management
    —from bill fetch to payment confirmation to settlement.
  • Maintain
    reconciliation and settlement reports
    , ensuring accuracy between internal and BBPS systems.
  • Work with internal tech teams to define product requirements for
    BBPS-enabled services
    , such as recurring payments, category expansion (utilities, loan EMIs, education, insurance, etc.).
  • Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure adherence to
    RBI and NPCI regulations
    .
  • Drive new product initiatives leveraging the BBPS framework, including
    cross-border bill payments
    ,
    credit-linked payments
    , or
    embedded finance solutions
    .

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 2–6 years of experience in the
    payments domain
    , specifically in
    BBPS, UPI, or API-based banking integrations
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    BBPS architecture
    , including roles of CU, BOUs, AOUs, and BBPOUs.
  • Familiarity with
    NPCI APIs
    , transaction flow, and message formats (ISO 20022 / JSON).
  • Experience with
    payment gateway or aggregator platforms
    (e.g., Razorpay, Paytm, NPCI interfaces).
  • Knowledge of
    reconciliation, settlement, and dispute management processes
    under BBPS.
  • Hands-on experience in
    RESTful APIs, Postman, Swagger, or API documentation
    .
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot technical and operational issues.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management abilities (banks, NPCI, internal teams).
