Role Description:

We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert (DSA) Intern to join our Computer Science Department.

This role is ideal for freshers or students pursuing their degree who are passionate about problem-solving, programming fundamentals, and competitive coding.The position involves supporting faculty, assisting in coding sessions, and helping students understand the foundations of algorithms and data structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learning & Support:Assist in delivering sessions on Data Structures and Algorithms (Arrays, Strings, Linked Lists, Trees, Graphs, Stacks, Queues, Hashing, DP, etc.) and help students understand time and space complexity and algorithmic thinking.
  • Practical Problem-Solving:Support coding labs where students practice DSA problems in languages like C++, Java, or Python.Help debug code, explain logic, and guide students toward optimal solutions.
  • Mentorship & Guidance:Provide basic guidance on problem-solving patterns (two pointers, sliding window, recursion, greedy, backtracking, DP) and encourage students to practise on platform-based problems (LeetCode, CodeStudio, Codeforces, etc.)
  • Collaboration: Work closely with faculty and senior instructors to improve learning material and coding challenges and share feedback to enhance the course structure and problem set difficulty.
  • Student Success:Assist in evaluating code submissions and helping students improve their approach and support students during contests, quizzes, and DSA practice sessions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Pursuing or completed a B.Tech /M.Tech /MCA in Computer Science or related fields
  • Strong understanding of at least one programming language (C++, Java, or Python).

  • Good understanding of:

  • Basic Data Structures (arrays, strings, stacks, queues, linked lists)

  • Algorithms (searching, sorting)

  • Time & space complexity basics

  • Logical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.

Must Have:

  • Some practice on platforms like LeetCode, GFG, Codeforces, LeetCode, etc.
  • Participation in coding contests or hackathons.
  • Understanding of intermediate concepts: recursion, dynamic programming, trees, graphs.
  • Interest in teaching, mentoring, or helping peers with coding doubts.
