About the Role:

As a Software Validation Engineer, you will play a critical role in verifying and validating embedded software systems that are integrated into OEM vehicle platforms. You'll work in close collaboration with internal software, systems, and hardware teams, as well as OEM customers, to ensure that our products meet stringent automotive quality, safety, and performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute validation strategies
    , test plans, and test cases based on software and system-level requirements.
  • Validate embedded software functionality on
    target ECUs
    ,
    HIL benches
    , or
    vehicle test platforms
    .
  • Perform
    regression, integration, and system-level testing
    using industry-standard tools (e.g., Vector CANoe, CAPL, dSPACE).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align test coverage with
    OEM-specific software delivery milestones
    and ASPICE process requirements.
  • Document and manage defects
    using issue-tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, IBM RTC) and support triage with development teams.
  • Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements in accordance with
    ASPICE and ISO 26262
    compliance frameworks.
  • Participate in
    test readiness reviews
    ,
    customer validation sign-offs
    , and
    OEM program launch
    support.
  • Contribute to
    automated test development
    and maintain reusable test assets for software reuse across platforms.
  • Support root cause analysis of field and plant issues related to software or system functionality.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in
    Electrical Engineering
    ,
    Computer Science
    ,
    Software Engineering
    , or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in
    software validation or verification
    .
  • Familiarity with
    automotive communication protocols
    (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet) and diagnostic standards (UDS, OBD).
  • Hands-on experience with validation tools such as
    Vector CANoe/CANalyzer
    ,
    CAPL
    ,
    dSPACE
    ,
    ETAS INCA
    , or similar.
  • Knowledge of
    ASPICE
    ,
    ISO 26262
    , and
    V-model development
    .
  • Experience with
    requirements management
    tools like
    Doors
    ,
    Polarion
    , or
    Codebeamer
    .

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience validating software for
    ADAS, body electronics, infotainment, or powertrain systems
    .
  • Experience working with
    OEM validation teams
    and understanding of
    OEM-specific validation processes
    (e.g., Ford, GM, Stellantis, VW Group).
  • Exposure to
    test automation scripting
    in Python, CAPL, or other scripting languages.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent QA certification is a plus.
