Job Purpose

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse operations , ensuring accurate inventory management, timely billing, goods receipt (GRN) processing , and supporting basic accounting functions . This role ensures operational efficiency, compliance with internal policies, and smooth coordination between warehouse, finance, and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Operations
  • Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
  • Ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization of the warehouse.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock checks and audits.
  • Billing & GRN
  • Process billing accurately and on time for goods dispatched.
  • Generate Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) for received materials, verifying quantity, quality, and documentation .
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve billing or GRN discrepancies .
  • Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels , including stock in/out and adjustments.
  • Conduct periodic stock audits and reconciliation with physical counts.
  • Implement FIFO / LIFO inventory methods and maintain proper storage practices.
  • Accounting & Reporting
  • Support basic accounting functions such as invoice verification, expense tracking, and ledger entries.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly warehouse and inventory reports for management.
  • Assist Finance/Accounts team during internal and external audits .
  • Team Management
  • Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs .
  • Monitor staff productivity and maintain attendance and performance records .
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies .

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, billing, and GRN processes .
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial documentation .
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/Warehouse Management Systems .
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills .
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team .
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and billing/accounting functions.
  • Experience in ERP systems, inventory control software, and billing systems is a plus.
  • Performance Metrics / KPIs
  • Accuracy of billing and GRN processing .
  • Inventory accuracy and reduction in discrepancies .
  • Timely preparation of warehouse and financial reports .
  • Compliance with SOPs, safety standards, and audit requirements .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20, ₹25,000.00 per month
