Role:- Python Automation EngineerLocation:- Karuna, ChennaiThe requirement remains the same, we are looking for candidates with Networking, Automation, and Python skills, Telecom background is mandatory.High Complexity Activities (Experience > 4 years) Key points:-Backend candidates only (not Django/Frontend).Strong Python programming and scripting knowledge is required, as we need to migrate old IP devices to new ones.The project is live; target closure on or before 15th Oct'25.Testing profiles will not be suitable for this requirement.Selenium experience will be considered a plus.1. Designing Network Automation Workflowso Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring for telecom networks.o Develop automation for legacy systems (e.g., ECI NMS).2. DevOps & CI/CD Integrationo Architect CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.o Deploy CNFs/VNFs using Docker and Kubernetes.3. Advanced Python Developmento Create multi-threaded Python applications.o Develop reusable Python libraries/modules for automation and RPA.o Design Python-based self-healing and alerting mechanisms.4. API & Network Protocol Automationo Use REST, Netconf, SNMP to automate telecom functions.o Integrate complex APIs across NMS/EMS/OSS/BSS.5. Monitoring and Observability Setupo Design observability frameworks using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry.o Build event-driven automation based on network telemetry.6. Cross-Functional Strategy & Architectureo Work closely with SRE, DevOps, and Network teams to define automation strategy.o Evaluate tools and frameworks for long-term automation scalability.7. AI/ML in Network Automationo Implement AI/ML-based enhancements (if required) for predictive fault detection or auto-remediation.8. Cloud & Orchestration Toolso Design automation solutions involving cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).--- Medium Complexity Activities (Experience ≤ 4 years)1. Basic Network Automationo Write Python scripts to automate circuit provisioning, email parsing, log processing.o Use automated environment for repetitive network configuration.2. Scripting & Automation Taskso Use Python, Selenium, Bash, Shell, YAML, PowerShell for basic automation workflows.o Maintain and modify existing Python scripts.3. GUI Automationo Automate desktop/web interfaces using tools like Selenium, Pywinauto, PyAutoGUI.4. Monitoring Taskso Assist in dashboard setup with Grafana, Prometheus.o Work on ELK/Splunk to view and filter logs.5. Tool Integrationso Use Jenkins or Git for triggering scripts and maintaining automation repos.o Use Docker to deploy basic containerized tools.6. Support & Documentationo Document automation workflows and maintain repositories.o Collaborate with senior engineers for debugging and deployment.7. Testing & Maintenanceo Test automation scripts in pre-production environments.o Update code based on feedback or network configuration changes.
